According to sources, the major update of the 4.2 BGMI update is the Primewood Genesis themed mode, which includes the Tree of Life (World Tree) and the Corrupting Flower, which releases a poison that instantly kills any player who comes in contact with it. Besides these elements, the mode introduces new items and abilities, including the Golden Fruit, which provides players with a bulletproof jacket that protects them until its health is depleted and can revive players if they are knocked down.
Additionally, the update also includes new companions and vehicles, including the Thorn Scorpion and Cherry Blossom Deer, both of which come with unique special abilities. The Primewood Genesis mode also includes the Prime Eye feature, which grants abilities like Barrier, Teleport, and Heal.
