What happens in Mardaani 3’s trailer
Yash Raj Films unveiled the trailer of Mardaani 3 on 12 January 2026 with the description “It is the race against time & there will be no mercy”. The trailer begins with a girl counting 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and then saying, “I’m coming,” but suddenly three men try to kidnap her. The next scene shows the news from Buland Shahar, which reports that two girls from the town mysteriously disappeared last evening.
The next scene shows Rani Mukerji, who plays Shivani Shivaji Roy, who called at the NIA (National Investigation Agency), and her leave gets cancelled due to an urgent matter, and she is asked to handle the case. Then, Rani starts investigating the case and has a list of missing girls from across the country.
The list reveals that 93 girls have gone missing from across the country in the last three months, and Rani realises that there is a bigger conspiracy, not limited to just the city. She says that based on all the information received from local sources, hang them upside down and ask them, they will definitely reveal something about this case.
The next scene shows that every informer is getting caught and beaten up brutally by the officers, and one of them reveals the name of Amma (Mallika Prasad). He says Amma runs the beggar mafia from Kusumpur, and Amma is coming out of a car. Amma’s iconic villain look is making the movie different, and she says that “she forgets the counting of how many children she has kidnapped, may be aroundd 1000.” Many girls are seen as going to a dark place. The informer says he also supplied bodies to Amma before, but this time she want some diefferent. She wants girls around the age of 8 to 9 years from poor families.
In the next scene, Amma asks a girl if she has seen the sea, and says, “Amma will show her the sea.” She becomes lost in his words, then a man gives the child an injection, presumably an anesthetic. Then the child falls asleep. Shivani says, “I swear, they’ll regret their existence,” and she tells all her officers that they all have one target: Amma.
The trailer then shows the fight between the police and Amma, including scenes from the metro, local streets, bus stands, and several other locations. “Raid everywhere, we’ll definitely find some evidence,” Shivani says. She’s convinced something terrible is happening to the girls. This isn’t just a mafia and child trafficking scandal, but something far more serious. Amma was once again in her old style and said to bury him properly, take precautions, and the girls shown in the show are in the cremation furnace (a place where dead bodies are burnt in a machine).
The next screen shows a conversation between Shivani and Amma, where Amma says that we will give you a share of the begging money and indirectly asks Shivani the price of her honesty. Shivani replied, “Did you finish with your words?” Now listen carefully, some officers may be martyred, but you are unlucky to mess with a police officer who doesn’t pay commissions but instead tears people to pieces like you.”
Now, further scenes depict a fight between them, including explosions, fistfights, car chases, gunfights, murders, and some brutal scenes. The final scene reveals the film’s release date as January 30, 2026. Scroll down to read more details.
