According to reports, Skoda Auto India finally launched the 2026 Skoda Kushaq SUV in India on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, in five variants, including Classic Plus, Signature, Sportline, Prestige, and Monte Carlo. There are two engine options: 1.0L TSI Petrol and 1.5L TSI Petrol. It is called a “mid-life facelift”, which means the engine remains the same, but the features and looks have been significantly improved and updated to take on the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. The exact price has not been announced at the moment, but it will be revealed in March 2026, and deliveries are expected to begin soon after the price announcement in March 2026. 

The performance of the Skoda 2026 will be decided based on its engine, and there are two engines:

  • The 1.0L TSI (115 BHP) is an efficient and powerful turbocharged engine ideal for urban traffic and fuel economy. Available in both manual and automatic options, it is best suited for urban use. 
  • The 1.5L TSI (150 BHP) is a powerful, high-performance engine with cylinder deactivation technology and is designed for highway enthusiasts. It offers 7 speed DSG Automatic and is good for enthusiasts. 

The ex-showroom price of the new Skoda is expected to be between ₹11.50 lakh and ₹20.50 lakh. The bookings are now open, and anyone who wants to buy the Skoda 2026 can officially book the vehicle by paying the booking amount (usually ₹25,000) from January 20, 2026. These variants will be around ₹60,000 to ₹80,000 more expensive than the older model (2024/2025).

  • A wide light bar with an illuminated “SKODA” logo in the center connects the tail lamps.
  • It gets a large 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay.

If we talk about the discounts, no information has been shared about the discounts available on the Skoda 2026, but it will be sold during the “waiting period”. However, dealers will now be desperate to sell pre-facelift stock. If you don’t care about the panoramic sunroof or ADAS, you can still get a hefty discount (₹1.5 lakh to ₹2.5 lakh) on the older model.

  • Click on the “New Kushaq 2026” section.
  • Choose the engine and variant of your Skoda car.
  • Pay a booking amount of ₹25,000.
  • After this process, you will receive a booking reference number through email/SMS.

The other option is to go directly to the showroom

  • Visit your nearest Skoda showroom.
  • Ask the sales consultant about the latest Skoda 2026 and have a complete conversation about the vehicle.
  • Pay the booking amount via card/UPI.
  • Get your booking reference number and wait for your vehicle.

Once available in showrooms in March 2026, you can visit the showroom to perform the “delivery ceremony” and take your car home. Additionally, you can request “home delivery” during the paperwork process. The dealership will send a driver (or flatbed truck if the car hasn’t been driven at all) to deliver the car to your home.
